Handmade Market

I’ve just spent another fantastic weekend photographing the Handmade Market again.

These guys are seriously the best clients I could ask for, a day shooting here never feels like work – not that my job ever does (I do believe have the best job ever, after all!).  Julie, Rachel (and their team) are awesome ladies, not only are they fantastic to work with, they’re great business role models (their business sense is astounding, really inspiring).

So this market was bigger and better than ever, here are just a tiny handful of stalls that caught my eye (the full set of images I shot will be available to view on the Handmade Market Facebook page soon):

Pictures above from Craft Schmaft.  It’s the first time I’d seen these guys and now I have a total crush on them.  Thanks to them, there will now be handmade sock toys for my boys under the Christmas tree this year!

Lots of brights and neons.  Pictures above from The Home Collective (no website to link to yet it seems), and Keep Resin.

I absolutely loved the Winnie’s Diary stand and check out that fox tea towel from Juliette Dudley.

Lasercut wooden buttons from Otekah and ceramics from the insanely creative (and lovely lady) Mrs Peterson.

It was so great running into Laura from The Creative Muster.  We went to school together years ago and it was so nice to catch up again, it turns out we have a lot in common.

Some people’s imaginations and creativity amaze me.  Accessories by Cranky Bot, not sure where these brooches are from (if you know please let me know!), and Kinetic Patterns.

Grrl + Dog had a gorgeous range – according to their website they “stitch mementos from an imaginary childhood using found fabric and vintage haberdashery” – love!

Next up are the always gorgeous creations of Tango & James, Kittila Ceramics, and scraperboard artworks by rookart.

Bowls by Aussie Tulip and vases again by Kittila.

Of course being a pre-Christmas market there was a lot of amazing Christmas food (sorry no links to stallholders, see Handmade Canberra’s site for more info).

Deep Blue Design Works amazing range of lasercut wooden ornaments (their stall smelled amazing – apparently it’s the oil they use on the wood).  And More wooden lovelies below by Mikaela Danvers.
